  A secluded, sandy beach and grassy picnic area surrounded only by sub-tropical trees and pristine water. For intimate and private wedding picnics. From Titirangi Village roundabout, turn first left and travel down Huia Rd for 15 kilometers and turn left at the Kaitarakihi Beach sign. Parking for small wedding parties - parking limited for wummer weekends and public holidays. Check tide times on the 'planning' page.

  A magical location for large or small wedding picnics and barbeques. A pohutakawa lined cream sandy beach. Permanent marquees available. From Titirangi, travel down Huia Rd for 15 kilometers and turn left at Pine Avenue or take the next left, Cornwallis Wharf Rd. Parking limited during summer months.   Popular movie location where rugged rainforest meets the dramatic black sand surf coast. Famous location of the triple Oscar award-winning movie The Piano and the television series Xena Warrior Princess. A delightful park beside the sand dunes for your wedding picnic. The stunning waterfall is a short walk from the beach with parking nearby. A permit is essential and wedding bookings well in advance are recommended. Parking limited during summer months.
